last updated 25th March 2020
To our valued clients,
In response to advice from the Government and our professional bodies over the last 24 hours, we have taken the decision to operate a closed door policy from Wednesday 25th March onwards.
We remain open for essential and urgent eyecare services but will not be carrying out any routine appointments until further notice.
If your eyes or your glasses are causing you distress or preventing you from functioning as normal, for example:
- You have lost or broken your glasses and need an urgent replacement
- You have run out of contact lenses and need an additional supply
- You have a red, sore or painful eye
- You are experiencing significantly blurred vision in one or both eyes
… then please use this link to book a telephone consultation using our MySight platform (you can also do this using the app, if you have it).
In the interests of minimising contact, we will try to help you over the phone or by video consultation in the first instance. If our conversation suggests we need to take a closer look, we will arrange face-to-face consultation in the clinic. If you are currently due for your routine examination, don’t worry – we will write to you again when we are up and running again and able to see you.
If you have a pair of glasses or contact lenses awaiting collection, we will have already been in contact with you about delivery options. We have also started making the necessary arrangements so that our regular contact lens wearers will receive their usual supply of lenses direct to their home address rather than having to come in to collect them; the same applies to those taking eye-related vitamin supplements.
We are doing our best to remain available throughout our usual opening hours, so if you have any concerns please feel free to give us a call or send us an email.
I wish you and your families all the very best at this difficult time.
